EVOH High-Barrier Resin

Release Date:2026-03-03

EVOH is an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer. In the film industry, its core advantages lie in high oxygen barrier properties, aroma retention, and transparency, making it a mainstream high-barrier material for flexible packaging. In practical applications, it is often co-extruded with materials such as PE and PA as an intermediate barrier layer to form multilayer composite films, providing both oxygen and moisture barriers. It is compatible with processes such as blown film, cast film, and co-extrusion, offering stable forming properties as well as good printability and heat sealability.

It is primarily used in food preservation packaging, such as for meat products, dairy products, condiments, coffee, deli items, and retort pouches, where it significantly extends shelf life and reduces the need for preservatives. It is also used in pharmaceutical packaging and for protecting electronic components, meeting requirements for oxygen and moisture barrier properties as well as solvent resistance. Additionally, it is environmentally friendly and recyclable, aligning with clean label and green packaging trends. Widely applied in high-barrier flexible packaging, it is a key material for enhancing packaging quality and product value.
