PA (polyamide, commonly known as nylon) is primarily used in plastic packaging films in the form of biaxially oriented polyamide (BOPA). It serves as a barrier layer or reinforcement layer within multilayer composite or co-extruded structures, offering four key advantages: oxygen barrier properties, puncture resistance, resistance to high and low temperatures, and oil resistance. It is widely used in food, pharmaceutical, and industrial flexible packaging and is a key functional material for mid- to high-end flexible packaging.
